Franz Klotz GmbH is shaped by a long history spanning over 40 years of innovation and the development of our processes.
It all began with the will to create something solid. Franz Klotz founded the company with a clear focus on steel and tank construction. Even back then the principle held: quality is when the industrial customer comes back, not the product.
We expanded our portfolio and became an official service partner of the Schmalz company. As a service provider for industrial installation, service, and maintenance in the field of vacuum lifting technology, we proved that we don't just manufacture but also solve problems on-site.
Precision in a new dimension: with our entry into modern sheet metal processing, we invested in CNC bending technology as well as punching, nibbling, and laser work. This set the course for highly complex series production.
We don't settle for standards. With the in-house development of the crescent-slot sheet, we created a solution that makes processes in surface technology more efficient — the launching point for our own series of patents.
To further increase cleaning performance, we registered our special "washboard surface" with the D.B.G.M. A small structural change with a major impact for our customers.
We bundled our expertise and built a specialized production for coating, washing, and centrifuge baskets. From then on, the design and production of these complex inserts came directly from our facility.
During this time, we cemented our reputation as tinkerers and problem-solvers. Whether spokes for coating inserts (2002), the innovative double crescent-slot sheet (2003 & 2006), or deflectors for free-flowing small parts (2003) — we developed techniques that set the standard. In 2005, we finally combined the best of two worlds: crescent-slot sheet with washboard structure.
To continue growing, we moved to our new, modern facility in the "Hämmer" industrial estate in Menden. At the same time, we secured the DBGM protection right for a weld-free arrangement of mesh in coating inserts — further proof of our innovative spirit.
We took over the business areas of ReKoWa GmbH. Through this strategic step, we were able to bundle our know-how, expand capacities, and further strengthen our position in the market.
In September, the symbolic passing of the baton took place: Sven Siepmann took over as the new managing director and owner. With this step, we secure the future of the company, preserve our traditional values, and at the same time set fresh impulses to further advance our technologies and markets.
